Ed Franz Elementary School Reviews
Quality Score: 1 Post Date:2008-05-06
“At first glance I fell in love with the school. Then once my child started attending, it turned out to be a horrible nightmare. The teachers cause unnecessary drama that ends up effecting home life. The lack of professionalism is mind boggling. They even feel the need to use junkfood to bribe/reward kids. They do not keep parents informed. There are no open lines of communication from teachers. They are more concerned about their image and how they are perceived than seeing each child as an individual being with parents who only want the best for their child. When a parent tries to get envolved their wishes are completely ignore. I ended up pulling my child out of that horrible school.” This review was posted by a parent.

“We are very fortunate to be at a school where 'cleared-vounteer-trained' parents are encouraged and welcomed to participate and help out in the classrooms and wherever else needed. There is an active PTO who work extremely hard to ensure the students and the school have what is needed for the children to succeed while encouraging them to have fun in the process. Ed Franz teachers and staff are always giving 110% to ensure the children succeed. Our school is a great place for learning! We love you!” This review was posted by a parent.

“We have been very fortunate to have two very wonderful teachers for my Grandaughter her first two years of school at Ed Franz. Unfortunately we will have to move her next year due to some boundary changes that we are very unhappy about. They are managing to divide our wonderful community by doing this.We are not going to sit by and not fight this. Our kids are having to move in order to make room for transient people living in apartments. We love Ed Franz and want her to stay there until she goes to middle school. There is a wonderful staff and we are very happy with the cirriculum. We do feel the school should ask for more parental involvement. We also think the principal should loosen up a little.” This review was posted by a parent.

“A substandard school that appears to give more support to punishment than teaching. Some of the teachers seem unable to do their job.” This review was posted by a parent.

“Franz is a quaint community school. Families are very supportive of the school. Teachers are friendly and are concerned for their students. Socio-economical level of the area is balanced. Very active PTO. My children are excelling in every subject from math, reading to the arts, and the special ed programs, not to mention my children's friendships. All my relations with teachers and staff have been extremely supportive.” This review was posted by a parent.
