Company History

Located in San Antonio from day one, Barber and Barber was originally founded in 1998 (under the name Barber Associates) by Robert D Barber, P.E. as a freelance consulting business in the solid waste industry. The next year, Robert incorporated the business and renamed it Barber & Barber Associates when his wife, Carolyn, assumed the role of Treasurer. Since its inception in 1998, Robert and Carolyn have devoted themselves to high quality work and personal attention to all clients, which has led to consistent growth.

In 2005, BBA extended into a new market by hiring Nathan Barber, a professional engineer with experience in process and specialty engineering. This acquisition diversified BBA’s service offerings to clients and strengthened our contribution to the engineering industry. Also in 2005, BBA hired Marisa Barber, Nathan's wife, to handle the books (she's the reason we stay afloat!).

After a decade of success, in 2008 Barber and Barber Associates hired Jon Pyle as Director of Business Development, to help take the business to the next level. With the same unwavering commitment to excellence upon which the company was founded, Barber and Barber plans to expand even more in the years to come.
