I have always loved Le Peep, but I will not go back to the Nac. location. I ordered the Florentine Benedict(which I always order) and the eggs were hard boiled! When I pointed it out to the waiter, he just looked at the eggs and said, "they aren't suppossed to look like that?" Then he offered to tell the owner. When he came back with the bill he said that if we wanted to complain we could do so on our way out, because the owner was working the register. I let the owner know and he just said that he would need to have a talk with the staff. The whole point was for the waiter to show the plate to the cook and owner so they could see how over-cooked the eggs were. I wasn't wanting a refund, just a little concern over the food, also it took almost 40 min. to get our food. It was not busy as it was a Mon. at 12:30.

An over-priced breakfast spot with under-par service

Years ago, Le Peep was "the" breakfast spot in Dallas so I was thrilled when it finally found its way to San Antonio, thinking those bountiful breakfast dishes were about to appear in my neighborhood! No such luck. The local version serves scrawny portions, barely warm and horribly overpriced. The service is an afterthought, but the Nacogdoches location is physically attractive, located in a former Italian restaurant. My advice? Save your money and head to the nearest pancake house instead! For the difference in price, you can bribe a waitress to bring you a side of Hollandaise that's actually still hot, and still have money left over.
Pros: Sunny yellow decor
Cons: Price, service, food quantity
Not bad, go early

We decided it was time to find a new breakfast favorite in SA. LePeep was a good choice. We arrived about 930 on a Sunday and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. I had the breakfast banana split (fruit and yogert) while hubby had the waffles. We had great service and the food was very good. Nothing about it stood out from other breakfast places, except maybe the atmosphere. We went to the one in Stone Oak and it is very light and clean. I would recommend going before about 10am on a Sunday, as that is about when the line started to form at the door.

I had the Lumberjack combo (2 eggs over easy, a short stack, seasoned potatoes, and a sausage link) Oh it was so good! I agree with some of the other reviewers when I say they need more staff. We barely saw our waitress. But they also make it so you don't really need them as much, by giving us our own pitcher of ice water (we didn't order coffee). The food was good. Good enough to ignore the lack of service.
Pros: large portions, good taste
Cons: didn't see waitress much
